Holi, the festival of colours is a popular Hindu festival and one of the long-desired occasions in the Indian subcontinent. Commonly known as the Indian “festival of spring” or the “festival of love”, Holi celebrations start with a bonfire called Holika on the night before Holi where people gather, sing and dance. A carnival of colours is organised the next morning, where participants play, chase and colour each other with dry powder and coloured water, with some carrying water guns and coloured water-filled balloons for a playful water fight.
Holi, in itself is really exciting and it becomes even more joyful when you get to play with your colleagues. Silicon IT Hub is one among those workplaces which makes its employees feel at home. An exuberant Holi party was organised by the awesome HR team at Silicon IT Hub in the office premises.
Holi was celebrated one day prior to the festival at Silicon IT Hub as the day of Holi remains a public holiday. The HR team ensured that everyone in the office played with colours.
As announced one day prior to the celebrations, the day of Holi celebrations was a perfect combination of work and play! Everyone in the office worked until 5:30 pm, followed by the vibrant Holi celebrations.
The celebrations began with the entire Silicon team gathering at one place and playing with different colours. While everyone was busy playing Holi, it was fun to locate those who were not coloured from head to toe and get them to play Holi as well.
Working in an organisation which values both work and play is one of the best things one can ever ask for, and Silicon IT Hub is definitely one of those places where working is a dream come true.
