Ganeshotsav 2025

culture

“Ganpati Bappa Morya!” With these enthusiastic echoes and all positive vibes, Shri Ganesh ji entered our premises as Smital Sir held him carefully. For Silicon and Civic Family, ‘Ganeshotsav’ is not just an occasion; it is a part of our culture that unites us, especially during the evening ‘Aarti’ every day and on the day of ‘Visarjan’, when we bid farewell to Bappa with a heavy heart and take a promise from him to come again in the next year.

It started on August 27, an auspicious day of Ganesh Chaturthi, when our founder cum director, Mr. Smital Pandit, brought an idol of Ganpati Bappa to our office. Our enthusiastic and creative HR team has made all the preparations and decorations before his arrival. We placed Bappa with religious rituals, filled with joy in our hearts. The entire Silicon and Civic family joined in the first Aarti, followed by 'Prasad'.

As per the norm, all nine teams were ready to perform Aarti and distribute 'Prasad' for seven days. Although team members may change every year, it does not affect their zeal in offering Aarti to Shriji and selecting the most delicious and special sweets as 'Prasad'. We literally wait for 7 pm to join colourful teams based on different themes every day in ‘Aarti’ and ‘Prasad’.

Finally, the ‘Visarjan Day’ came. Since morning, all of us have had a heavy heart. We felt all positivity and pleasure with new energy and confidence as Bappa was here. Finally, the moment of his departure came. We had an ‘Aarti’ with ‘Annakut’ consisted of many different food items, as all the team members brought something for Bappa. We took Bappa to show our entire office before initiating the ‘Visarjan’ in our premises.

Standing in the premises amid slight drizzles, some of our team members were chanting ‘Ganpati Bappa Morya’ relentlessly, and some were busy with preparations. We told our wishes to Bappa and bowed with humbleness. As we did ‘Visarjan’, it was an overwhelming experience for everyone. We bid adieu to Shri Ganesh with a promise to bring him again soon.

This is not all! We all remembered Bappa on the very next day after having ‘Annakut Prasad' at our desk. Ganpati Bappa Morya, Pudhchya Varshi Laukar ya!
